Howdy

      Hi I'm Eliamaria, Elia for short. I’ve been drawing, coloring, and creating from a young age and was encouraged to harness my creativity and do what made me happy.   I started drawing box-figure doodles as my primary go-to in high school and eventually started, what-was, my Elia in a Box Webcomic then as well as comics for my high school newspaper, the Campus Corral.

     I went to college where I majored in Theatre. I had a love for performing comedy as well as designing and painting sets. While in college, I drew comics for the university newspaper, The Shorthorn, and started doing custom & freelance work. Upon graduating with my Theatre degree, I realized I loved where my comics and illustrations were going and I took off from there.

    Now I have the fun of going to cons with art, streaming and making videos online, and just having fun illustrating.

  • Winner, The Professor Latinx Outstanding Emerging Latinx Comic Creator Award 2022
  • Columbia Scholastic Press, 1st Place Certificate in Comic Cartoons in Digital Media 2014, for Allan Saxe comic strips featured in The Shorthorn university newspaper​
  • Finalist in Theatre Marketing, Texas State Thespian 2009, featuring my Almost, Maine illustrations from the 2009 Central High School theatre production
